If you are legitimately working your ass off, many hours a day, and after 18 months you’re not making any money or showing any progress you need to do something else. This is coming from the perspective of a 63-year-old serial entrepreneur who has built multiple companies.

I’ve certainly had failure and downturn in my life but I’ve always been able to turn it around and make money. If you can’t do that in this, your chosen endeavor, either you chose the wrong endeavor or you’re not good enough at it. Recalibrate.

I am a paid subscriber. You constantly reaching out for more funding is probably not going to work for you. Try to figure out how to get more subscribers and more paying gigs.

Great piece. You aren’t a failure. I’m on edge too at 51 with a Yale education trying to make ends meet. Praying for you and your family. I send what I can because your work gets me through the day.

At the end of it's a wonderful life

someone tells George Bailey

no man is a failure who has friends

Psalm 121 helps me

it's my fervent prayer

you are not alone

Brother, I enjoy your writing, you are skilled for sure. But if this new emoting is an attempt to extract my 8 bucks... you disappoint me. We all have a story, and the statute of limitations is long expired at 57. Gotta move forward.

I hear you. But this wasn’t an attempt to squeeze anyone. I’ve written over 500,000 words this past year, and none of it’s behind a paywall. This post was just personal. All the best.

You don’t sound like a failure. You sound like me when I was a kid, only I didn’t have any cool talents. My boyfriend didn’t get me pregnant, which probably went a long way to keeping me on the rails and as I got older, if nothing special, I was successful in most of my pursuits. I really want to hear the next installment of your story.

Whoa. Didn’t see that coming. Remember, please, you’re not a failure. You’re a child of God. He don’t make failures. He’s leading you. Follow Him. Until next time. God Bless and be well, Chris.
