That occurred in a safe house after he, his wife, and daughters narrowly escaped being killed when their home was firebombed the night before a court hearing on whether the family would be evicted because the Nation of Islam (black Americans!) had sued to reclaim the property.
And here we are 61 years later as this mindset, now normalized, diversified and expanded to include all races, continues unabated.
